American Sentinel University Program Review
American Sentinel University aims to provide high-quality and cutting edge educational programs that will help students develop critical thinking, decision-making, and leadership skills that they’ll need to be successful in their personal and professional lives. Students will be prepared to work in rapidly emerging industries and fast-growing sectors of an increasingly global economy.
The American Sentinel University was established when the American College of Computer & Information Sciences and American Graduate School of Management combined. The new combined school was able to offer both the technology programs and the business programs formerly offered by each individual school as well as being able to offer students new opportunities in fields like health care. While the school is online-based, there are offices in Denver, Colorado, and Birmingham, Alabama.
Classes at American Sentinel are offered entirely online so that students from both traditional and nontraditional backgrounds can attend despite work and personal commitments that might otherwise prohibit them from pursuing higher education. The school has high levels of student satisfaction across all 15 different programs of study. Students will get the opportunity to use exciting new technologies to pursue their educational goals at their own pace and on their own time.
Students enrolled with American Sentinel will get online access to degree programs at the Master’s, Bachelor’s, and Associate’s level, as well as several professional certification programs with big name industry leaders like Microsoft and Cisco. Students can get school credit for life experience– up to 30 hours towards their degrees. Students will get their course information over the Web, and some things will even be delivered by podcast. Courses are asynchronous, allowing access to materials and information at any time, day or night, so that students will be able to study at times that suit their needs.
