Argosy University’s goal is to supply students with the tools they need to work in a professional environment no matter what the field of specialization. The school hopes to instill not only the foundation of a solid education but the professional ethics and love of learning that are necessary to help them to be truly successful in their fields. Argosy prides itself on creating a positive and diverse learning environment which encourages respect for both faculty and students and helps to point students in the right direction for future success.
Argosy University was established in 1961 when three specialty schools were combined, giving students access to training in psychology, health care and a variety of other fields all from one consolidated university. Today, Argosy University has 18 different locations across the United States so that students wishing to attend campus-based classes can do so without having to travel too far. The main offices of the school are located in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, but online courses are offered through the school’s Chicago campus.
Those who are looking to pursue a degree program at the graduate level will be pleased to know that Argosy offers one of the largest graduate school communities in the United States. With the combination of students from campus courses and the online programs, Argosy’s graduate programs are large and give students a chance to interact with a wide variety of fellow classmates. While Argosy offers a wide variety of degree programs, it is best known for the subjects it initially specialized in: psychology, health sciences and business.
Online classes at Argosy give students the opportunity to not only learn at their own convenience but to take interactive classes in an innovative online classroom. Class sizes are limited so that students can get individual attention from professors, and all students will have access to additional services like advisors, mentors and career services professionals. These people aim to work together to help students create a personalized and productive learning experience that meets their needs.
