Bowling Green State University wants to help its students learn to embody the core values that are important to the school. These include respect, cooperation, creativity and taking pride in a job well done. The university wants to create a top notch learning environment that promotes innovation, discussion, and mutual respects in all aspects of the learning experience.

Founded in 1910, the university was initially created as a teacher training school that would provide much needed educators to the surrounding communities. This Bowling Green, Ohio, school has grown a lot since then and now offers many degree programs as well as a satellite campus called the BGSU Firelands College. For students that cannot attend these campuses, there is also a more limited online distance learning program available.

It makes sense that because Bowling Green was founded as a teaching college and has nearly a hundred years of experience in training teachers, that it should still be a mecca for those seeking education degrees today. According to the U.S. News & World Report, the school is the 14th largest producer of teachers in the United States. Of course, the programs offered by the university aren’t limited to teaching. There are over 200 other programs offered on campus and 12 online degrees and certifications.

For those who need a little more flexibility in their learning environment, the distance learning program from Bowling Green could be just the solution. Online classes allow students to work closely with professors and meet and chat with classmates. Students can pursue degrees at both the undergraduate and graduate levels or work to earn a variety of professional certifications. Some of the programs offered include Nursing, Technology Management, Education and English.
