Chamberlain College of Nursing is dedicated to providing cutting-edge nursing and healthcare programs to students that are of the highest quality. Programs of study will give students the skills they need through training in the history of the medical field, a variety of general education courses and hands-on clinical practice with a mentor in an approved health facility. Through these practices, students will learn to treat patients and fellow students with compassion and learn to work as proficient and competent members of a health care team. Students will be encouraged not only to gain career mobility but to grow personally as well.

Orginally called the Deaconess College of Nursing, the school was founded in 1889 to help nursing students work towards their diplomas. In 2005, Deaconess became part of the DeVry family of schools and changed its name to the Chamberlain College. Today, this St. Louis-based university grants both Associate’s and Bachelor’s level degrees in nursing. In addition to the main campus in Missouri, the school has a campus in Columbus, Ohio, and is planning another in Phoenix, Arizona.
