City University wants to help those who have the desire to keep learning, both in the Seattle area and around the world. City aims to create an educational network on campus and online that will allow students the opportunity to engage in active learning experiences and that will be easily accessible to anyone who wishes to attend. The school strives to create an environment that will work with the needs of its students and provide them with innovative and relevant educational experiences that will translate into the workplace.

1973 saw the beginnings of City University, which was originally known as City College. The main campus of the school is located in downtown Seattle’s tech and business hub, making it a great choice for those interested in joining those industries. The school not only consists of the main campus, however, but also several other partner schools around the globe as well as a thriving online community.

While the school is based in Seattle, those from all over the United States and the world can attend classes both on remote campuses and through the online program. There are 10 different locations in Washington state where students can attend classes as well as four more located in Canada. International students don’t even have to leave home to study with City as there are campuses in far flung places like Mexico, Slovakia, Romania, Greece, Czech Republic, Bulgaria and China. And for students who aren’t located anywhere near a single one of these campuses, the online school allows study from anywhere at any time.

Online courses are offered in a format that allows students to work at their own pace while interacting in the online classroom with professors and other students. Faculty are specially trained to work in the online environment, and students can get one-on-one attention if they need it. Coursework is taken through interactive presentations, online discussion boards, and a variety of other formats. Degree programs range from professional certifications to doctoral degrees and majors cover a wide variety of fields from Design to Religious Studies.
