Ellis College is the online division of the New York Institute of Technology. Students enrolled at Ellis College are self-driven, ambitious students wanting a solution to traditional academic institutions that don’t offer flexible programs. At Ellis College, students are valued despite their alternative schedules, and their unique professional and educational backgrounds are understood. The New York Institute of Technology has been serving students for 50 years and now boasts over 70,000 alumni. The school has three campuses in the New York area, plus Ellis College, the online division. Faculty members are highly qualified individuals, and are required to hold at least a Master’s degree in the field they teach. Instructors also receive training to help them engage their students even in an online format through chats, e-mail, and the Faculty 1-to-1 feature. Educational webcasts are another online feature that promote active communication and the opportunity for students to apply their recently learned knowledge to simulated job situations.

Degrees at Ellis College are offered at the Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s and certificate levels. Majors include Business Administration, Telecommunications Technology, Communication Arts, Computer Science, English, Political Science, Advertising, Hospitality Management, Instructional Technology, Journalism and others. Many of these programs include several different specialization areas, allowing students to tailor their degree experience to their individual needs and goals.

Online certificate studies are offered through The Institute for Professional Studies and Ellis College of New York Institute of Technology. IPS certificates include Early Childhood Education certificates and Accounting certificates. Ellis certificates are offered in the following areas : Marketing, Management, Multimedia, Accounting, Finance, International Business, Technical Writing and Distance Learning.
