Founded in 1974 in Santa Barbara, CA, Fielding Graduate University was established to help ambitious working adults achieve their career goals and satisfy their desire for continuing their academic experiences. Since its founding, Fielding has mastered adult- and student-focused teaching methods that feature flexibility, self-direction and a task-oriented system. The school is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, as well as various other program-specific organizations.
Programs offered at Fielding Graduate University fall under the three different schools: The School of Psychology, School of Educational Leadership and Change, and the School of Human and Organization Development. Within these schools, students can earn their Master’s and doctorate degrees, as well as postdoctoral certificates and professional development certificates. Specific programs of study include Clinical Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Collaborative Educational Leadership, Leadership of Higher Education Systems, Parent-Infant Mental Health, Coaching, Organization Management and Development and others.
