Franklin University was originally known as the School of Commerce when it was founded in 1902 by the YMCA. Located in Columbus, OH, Franklin has kept its commitment to serving and participating in the central Ohio community while evolving into a well-respected university. The school changed its name to Franklin University in 1933, in honor of Benjamin Franklin.
Undergraduate degrees at Franklin University are offered in areas like Accounting, Web Development, Organizational Communication, Human Resources Management, eMarketing, Computer Science, Business Forensics, Public Safety Management and other leading-edge industries. Graduate programs include the Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Computer Science, and the Master of Science in Marketing and Communication.
Franklin University also supports a virtual campus in order to provide students all over the world with a quality Franklin education. The online learning program has partnerships with various community colleges, the army national guard and the GoArmyEd program, which makes it easier for active military personnel to earn a degree wherever they are stationed.
