Grantham University Program Review
Grantham University brings together leaders in government, technology, education and business to provide students with high quality education that will prepare them for lifelong careers in a global context. Working adults are able to take advantage of Grantham’s training and technological resources to achieve their professional goals and enhance their personal lives. Coursework emphasizes the mastery of cutting edge skills, while students learn to participate in current debates centering around the world’s forefront issues.
Grantham University was founded in 1951 in Southern California and by 1959 sponsored residential campuses across the country in Washington, D.C., Seattle, WA, and Kansas City, MO. In 1991, these adjunct campuses were consolidated into one location in New Orleans, LA. After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, however, the second campus was forced to move back to Kansas City after losing 80% of its facility in the disaster. Now, Grantham University is considered the seventh-largest four-year degree granting institution in Missouri, and benefits from the social, service, and business resources nearby.
Grantham University strives to educate its students by awarding them access to competitive technological resources and high quality faculty. Noted teachers include former Assistant Secretary of Commerce Dr. D. Bruce Merrifield, who served under President Reagan, and Dr. Herbert I. London, the founder and former Dean of Students at New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, among others.
Online or on campus, Grantham students complete undergraduate and graduate degrees in the school’s College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business, and College of Engineering. Online degrees are offered in the following areas: Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology, Criminal Justice, General Studies and Interdisciplinary Studies. A Master of Science degree in Information Technology is also offered online.
Military scholarships are available to service members, veterans, and family members of military personnel to help them more easily transition from their experiences in the armed forces to the business world.
