Hodges University, formerly known as International College, is a university committed to serving the adult student population in southwest Florida. By providing current, career-focused academic programs, serving the community, supporting faculty members’ own scholastic pursuits, and understanding how experiential learning benefits nontraditional students, Hodges University hopes to become a leader in distance and alternative education. Graduates of Hodges University are expected to be sharp analytical thinkers and effective communicators, demonstrating their responsible leadership abilities.

Hodges University serves a diverse student body in southwest Florida. Small classes help students learn better and encourage communication between students and faculty members. Hodges was first known as International College, when it was founded in 1990 in Naples, FL. The school supports an additional campus in Ft. Myers, FL, and an online campus, as well as other learning sites around the state in Cape Coral, Dade City, Brooksville, Bradenton and more. International College became known as Hodges University in 2007 after a large donation from Naples residents Earl and Thelma Hodges. The school is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Hodges University serves students at all levels through Associate’s, Bachelor’s, and Master’s degree programs, as well as English as a Second Language and a Certificate in Finance program. Academics are offered through the Kenneth Oscar Johnson School of Business; School of Allied Health; School of Professional Studies; and School of Technology. Majors include Applied Psychology, Criminal Justice, Drafting and Design, Computer Information Technology, Paralegal Studies, Health Studies, Medical Assisting, Accounting, Public Administration, and more. Certain programs, like the MBA, Criminal Justice degrees, and Health Administration degrees can also be earned fully online.
