Marist College is a nationally recognized college that offers leading programs in the arts and sciences. Marist College was founded in 1929 and is associated with the Marist Brothers. The founder of the Marist Brothers was St. Marcellin Champagnat, and through his commitment to quality education, the pursuit of higher human values and dedication to service, he inspired the founding of Marist College. Marist is located in Poughkeepsie, NY, in the Hudson Valley. The campus sits on a 150-acre plot which overlooks the Hudson River and is located roughly halfway between New York City and Albany, NY. Recognized by U.S. News and World Report, Time, and The Princeton Review, Marist promotes the development of each students’ academic excellence, professional future and personal growth.

Academically, students are challenged in a variety of fields. The Schools of Communication and the Arts; Computer Science and Math; Continuing Education; Liberal Arts; Science; and Social and Behavioral Science give students a well-balanced education steeped in both practical, career-focused training and theory. Marist offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as undergrad programs just for adults. These courses include certificates, Bachelor’s degrees, online courses and even a study abroad program in Florence, Italy.

Student life at Marist College is also rich in diversity.
