Northern Kentucky University is a four year public university located in Highland Heights, KY, just seven miles south of Cincinnati, OH. Despite its size, Northern Kentucky University offers small class sizes and encourages relationships between students at all levels and internationally respected faculty. Northern Kentucky University was founded in 1968 and operates on the semester system. While nearly three quarters of NKU students are from the state of Kentucky, a growing percentage of the student population comes from other states and countries. The school sponsors over 100 student clubs, 13 varsity sports at the NCAA Division II level, and more than 80 academic programs.

Students at Northern Kentucky University are challenged academically in a diverse offering of programs. From Art, Environmental Sciences, Japanese Studies and Psychology in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences to Economics and Finance, entrepreneurship, Marketing and Construction Management in the College of Business to kinesiology and teacher education in the College of Education and Human Services, students can explore themselves intellectually and pre-professionally. Additionally, the School of Nursing and Health Professions and the Chase College of Law offer advanced degrees and industry-specific resource centers.
